This year’s show was called the Norfolk Gala Day after the Norfolk Constabulary [who previously promoted the event] pulled out.
This show certainly attracted a lot of exhibitors and visitors as in previous years with our stand receiving a plentiful flow of visitors during the day. |
Gazebos, flags etc. were all put up before the arrival of the public on site at 10am. We certainly had an excellent turnout of 17 Mark 1 and 2 Mark 2 which is four more than last year.
I really must give a very big thank you to everyone who attended to help make such an impressive turnout.
I was a little disappointed however with the location of our stand. We certainly had one of if not the biggest club stands meaning we couldn’t show the cars off as well as we would have liked as space was tight.I shall certainly be taking this point up with the organisers before next year’s event especially as there were parts of the showground with lots of spare space.
This year has seen the arrival of three fresh Mark 1s to the show circuit – Nick Edwards with his freshly restored 3 Litre Ghia, Allen Brooks M reg 3 Litre Ghia in onyx green and an original low mileage example. Richard Pyke with his very early [March 72 and only 1 previous owner!] Granada 2.5 auto in burgundy red just on the road after a lengthy restoration.
As usual the day absolutely flew by, there was an excellent atmosphere and a good day was had by all [I think!]

Rob Tebble
