Editorial - Issue 65

Out & About
Welcome along to this Issue 65 of your News & Views.

One or two subtle changes this time, what with the demise of one’s silver thing [which by all accounts has run to perfection ever since ! !] now in the care of the proprietor of Haven Classic Cars. On the subject of Haven said silver thing was duly delivered to the premises where Mr Wright’s Minster was in residence having quite a ‘seeing to’ in the bodywork department, not to mention a Granada Talisman awaiting it’s turn. One’s new shed is a very reasonable and blue Mk2 series 2 2.8 Ghia X minus any of that pesky injection stuff.

Moving on to this edition of your News & Views there are some excellent articles within. These would never have appeared if they had not been sent in so do keep such items flowing to the editorial department to keep the typing pool busy if nothing else ! ! !

We could do with some more ‘Your Car’s The Star’ items – an excellent edition comes with this issue – and you’ll even see your car appear on the front cover !

If anyone is interested in attending this year’s classic car show at Birmingham NEC [in November] can you please get in touch with Brian Creed as soon as possible.

The Editorial team along with your illustrious chairman undertook a most worthy excursion to the Ford Freaks do in the Netherlands recently – more on this in the next edition of the Mag, as a taster there were 93 Granadas in attendance and a very novel use for a Mk3 was seen which involved sawing it in half . . . .

Also in your next Mag will be a comprehensive article dealing with those nice trip computers found in various Mk2 Granadas and of course some of your articles [just as a little reminder of the above ! !]

We hope to see as many of you as possible at Wicksteed Park !

Issue 66 of your magazine is scheduled to go out during late September 2010 which will include your membership renewal slip!! So if you have anything to send please can you do this by Saturday 11th September 2010.

Please note that views expressed here are not necessarily those of The Ford Granada Mk1 & Mk2 Drivers Guild or the Editorial team.
