Local Area Meetings
To find out about regular monthly meetings in your area please contact the Area Co-Ordinator for your area. The meetings are very informal gatherings and give you the ideal opportunity to have your say about shows, events and other activities. The meetings can also be a source of excellent knowledge and information about keeping your car on the road and in the best condition. Many members know a lot about their cars and are more than willing to share experiences and solutions to problems.

The Area Co-Ordinators are the ideal communication route to the committee and the other areas. So if you feel there is something you would like to suggest about the way the club is run or there is something you would like organised (or would like to organise) or investigated the co-ordinators may already know the answers to your questions or will know who best to contact for an answer.

Please make sure that your meeting is on, especially if travelling some distance. Remember, the Area Co-Ordinators are volunteers. They may need to get some one else to hold the meeting due to personal circumstances or may need to change the venue or date due to other unforeseen circumstances. They will, of course, endeavour to let the regulars know of any changes, but if they don't know that you might be attending then they don't know they need to contact you about any changes.

Many are held in local pubs, where a friendly relaxed atmosphere is present and it maybe possible to have a family meal at the same time, adding to the fun & friendly atmosphere.

Some of the areas don't have specific monthly meeting venues or dates, so it's important to keep in touch with your Area Co-Ordinator to keep up to date with what's going on. One or two areas change venues each month to add some variety, so it is even more important to give the Area Co-Ordinator a short call to find out when & where the meeting is.

During the summer show season, those who have their meetings on a Sunday, for example, make special arrangement for times that shows clash with monthly meetings, again, stay in touch with your Area Co-Ordinator to find out what's been arranged.

It goes without saying that you don't need to have your Granada on the road to attend a monthly meeting, it's up to you what you drive.

One or two of the area monthly meetings are fairly new, and at present, may not have a venue or date arranged. If you ring your Area Co-Ordinator, they will be more than pleased to discuss suitable venues, dates etc. and set something up. If you live in an area that doesn't have a co-ordinator, perhaps you would consider volunteering for the job and get things rolling in your neck of the woods. Please feel free to contact any member of the committee to discuss your thoughts and feelings.

Area Co-ordinators, please check that the details in the back pages of the magazine and on the web pages are correct and let the Magazine Editor know if you want to change or add any thing, comments, contact details etc.

Just one last request to our Area Co-ordinators, it would be nice for your own members and for other areas members to read a short write up about the monthly meetings, and show reports, so come on, pen to paper, or fingers to the keyboard. Please post or email articles and adverts to the Magazine Editorial.

All the best, from the keyboards of the Guild Committee.
